Smart climate control. For the units you already own.
We automate and manage heating and cooling with Home Assistant. Daikin connects natively. Midea, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, TCL and units that were never smart take more work, and we do that work. Whatever you have, we make it work: every room on one dashboard, with schedules and rules that run on your own network.

- Built on Home Assistant
- Daikin, Midea, MHI and TCL
- Any other unit, by ESP32
- Runs locally, no cloud required
Whatever you have, we make it work.
Home Assistant sits in the middle. How each unit gets connected to it depends on the brand, and that part is our problem, not yours.

Home Assistant
The open-source automation platform everything reports to. It runs on a small box at your site, keeps working when the internet is down, and has no subscription attached.

Daikin
The one brand with native Home Assistant support. Split, multi-split and ducted systems connect directly, with full control and status reported back.

Midea*
Midea has no native route into Home Assistant, so we built our own way in. It isn't the official path, but it works, and it's already running at a client site.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries*
MHI split and multi-split systems, brought into Home Assistant with a controller matched to the unit.

TCL*
TCL units, connected the same way and sitting on the same dashboard as everything else.

Anything else
Older and non-smart units from any brand. A small ESP32 board running ESPHome, wired or pointed at the unit, gives a ten-year-old air conditioner the same controls as a new one.
* Midea, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and TCL: some units and models are not smart out of the box and need an ESP32-USB module. On many of them the module is USB plug-and-play, and the manufacturer's warranty is unaffected. On others the install is more involved and, depending on its complexity, may void the warranty. We tell you which applies to your model before we fit anything.
Every unit, on one screen.
Each air conditioner shows up as a thermostat you can read and change from a phone, a tablet on the wall, or a browser. Mixed brands sit side by side and behave the same way.
- Set mode, target temperature, fan speed and swing per room
- Live room temperature and humidity next to each unit
- Views per floor, per building or per site
- Separate logins for staff, with only the rooms they need
Native where it exists. Custom where it doesn't.
Only Daikin talks to Home Assistant out of the box. For every other brand we do the engineering, so you don't have to choose your air conditioners around what an app supports.
- Daikin: native integration, connected directly
- Midea: our own workaround, proven on a live client site
- Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and TCL: a controller matched to the unit
- Mixed brands in one building, all behaving the same on the dashboard
- The unit keeps its original remote
Older units, made smart.
A unit with no Wi-Fi and no app can still be automated. We build a small controller around an ESP32 and pick the least invasive way to drive the unit, then flash it with ESPHome so it appears in Home Assistant like any other thermostat.
- Infrared: the board replays the unit's own remote codes, with nothing opened or rewired
- Relay or dry contact: GPIO outputs switch the unit's control terminals for on/off, mode and fan
- Serial: units with a service or Modbus port are read and controlled over the wire
- Feedback: temperature, humidity and current sensors confirm the unit is doing what it was told
Rules that run themselves.
Once the units are connected, the useful part starts. We write the automations with you, based on how the space is used, and you can change them later without calling us.
- Schedules by room, weekday and season
- Off when a room is empty, a window is open, or the office is closed
- Setpoint limits, so nobody leaves a unit at 16°C overnight
- Alerts when a room overheats, a unit stops responding, or a filter is due
- Server rooms and network closets watched around the clock
Installing a new system? Ask us first.
If you haven't bought yet, talk to us before you do. We'll recommend a system based on what we see in the field and what the people who install and service these units every day tell us, not on what pays best.
- Recommendations from real-world data, not commissions
- We're not paid by any manufacturer, so we can say what we actually think
- Which brands and models integrate cleanly, and which ones fight you
- What holds up after a few years of use, according to the people who fix them
- An honest answer, including when the cheaper unit is the better one
Looked after, after install.
We don't hand over a box and leave. The Home Assistant instance is backed up, kept up to date and monitored, and you reach it remotely through an encrypted connection rather than an open port.
- Scheduled backups of the full configuration
- Updates tested and applied by us
- Secure remote access for you and your staff
- Several sites managed the same way, each on its own instance
- Runtime and energy history per unit, where metering is fitted
From survey to handover.
The same four steps, whether it's two units in a home or forty across an office.
Survey
You send us the brand and model of each unit, or we come and look. We tell you how each one will be connected.
Build
We set up the Home Assistant box and build any ESP32 controllers on the bench, tested against your unit's model before they go on site.
Install
Controllers are fitted, units are joined to the network, and every room is checked from the dashboard and from the original remote.
Handover
We walk you through the dashboard and the automations, then stay on for monitoring, updates and changes.
HVAC automation questions
The things people ask before we start.
No. Whatever you have, we make it work. Daikin connects natively. Midea, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, TCL and older units get a custom integration or a small ESP32 controller, using infrared, a relay or a serial connection depending on what the unit exposes.
Yes. Home Assistant runs on a device at your site and the automations run locally, so schedules and rules carry on. You only lose remote access until the connection is back.
Yes. We add control, we don't remove any. With a native or serial integration, changes made on the remote show up on the dashboard. With infrared-only control the unit can't report back, so we add a sensor to confirm what it's actually doing.
It depends on the unit. Infrared control doesn't touch the unit at all. Many Midea, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and TCL models take an ESP32-USB module that is plug-and-play, and the warranty stays intact. Some models need a more involved install, which may void the warranty depending on its complexity. We tell you which applies before we fit anything, and recommend the non-invasive option first.
Yes, ask us before you buy. Our recommendations come from real-world experience and from talking with people who work on these systems in the field, not from commissions. We're not paid by any manufacturer, so we can tell you truthfully what we'd pick.
Daikin natively, and Midea, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and TCL through our own integrations. Midea has no official route, but our workaround is already running at a client site. Any other brand, including older non-smart units, is handled with a custom ESP32 controller. Send us the model number and we'll tell you how we'd connect it.
Both. The setup is the same for a house, an office, a shop or a server room. What changes is the number of units, who gets access, and which automations make sense.
